Monkey Boy the Dog needs a home
This little cutie was found by animal control while wandering the streets in Waco. Due to shelter overcrowding, he came to the Casa back in July 2016. The shelter named him Elroy but somehow his name was changed to Monkey Boy - I think because he kinda looks like the monkeys from Wizard of Oz!
He is crate trained, housebroken and is not sure about being on a leash yet...I think he would prefer to just be carried anywhere that would require him to be on a leash. And he is a LAP DOG who likes to sleep under the covers. When its time to go outside, he will dance and spin in circles for you.
Monkey is current on all his shots and is scheduled to be neutered very soon. He gets along well with all his foster siblings - big, small, old and young. Monkey also does well off leash when he is allowed to run "free" with our personal dogs. He doesn't wander off too far and obeys commands when told he's ventured too far and needs to come back.
Monkey would do great with a family that has older kiddos or as a companion for an "older" person. Caution is advised if around smaller children. He is a tiny little thing with very little fear - so he can be easily injured.
